About the gîte chez julio
A little history...
My story began in 2019, when I discovered the simple pleasure of venturing into the great outdoors. While exploring the trails of Quebec, hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking, I learned to appreciate the magic of the landscapes, the beauty of the villages, and, above all, the human warmth that inhabits this region. Every corner of paradise, every cottage on the edge of a lake or river, inspired a dream in me: one day, I would have my own refuge.
Throughout my travels, I've discovered bed and breakfasts, those places where you truly feel at home, far from the complicated logistics of long journeys. In 2023, my path led me to Michelle and Gilles's gîte 149 route de la mer, in Sainte-Flavie, the charming gateway to the Gaspé Peninsula. Their warm welcome was my first glimpse of what my three-week trip to the peninsula could offer: a deeply nourishing, human, and authentic experience.
Between the sea, mountains and forests, I found more than a landscape: an invitation to reconnect with myself, to savor each moment with gratitude.
It is in 2025 that I officially launch myself as an entrepreneur, taking over with humility and enthusiasm the legacy left by Michelle and Gilles, with the desire to cherish and enrich this place, where generosity and conviviality create a true cocoon of well-being, for a deep and sincere revitalization.
Today, I welcome you chez julio, into yours, to share this generosity, this conviviality and to offer you a unique, soothing and revitalizing stay, for the body, the mind and the heart.
I will help you slow down, nourish yourself with authentic moments, share real experiences, and above all take care of yourself, by sharing a homemade breakfast together around the table, a simple, friendly and precious moment, promoting exchanges and relaxation.
